Question about norms

So what are the relevant considerations re: posting to your own journal vs. posting to a "community" like this? Are there any aboriginal Dreamwideners who can help me out here?

Posting to a comm you dont have control over who has access, and there is very little else different.

Just the obvious difference of audience, AFAIK. If all your friends are in the community and vice versa then it's a toss-up.
